Ledgewood Kennel Ltd is owned by husband and wife team
Chip and Kirby Barrett.

Kirby has been in animals most of her life. Apart from 30 years kennel experience , she has owned and has been breeding Labrador Retrievers since 1975. Her other interests are with her riding and driving ponies. She now drives her Haflinger horse and Shetland/Haflinger pony all over the countryside. Kirby also used to raise Cotswold Sheep on her farm in Millerton and she would show the sheep in states as close as the Dutchess Country Fair and as far away as NAILE in Louisville Kentucky. Kirby's sheep won awards, National Champion Ewe, Reserve National Champion Ram, and Best Fleece awards.

Chip is responsible for the building of and maintenance of the kennel facility. The building incorporates an in floor radiant heat system,and a state of the art materials were used in the building of this building. Chip also has his own contracting and farming business's.
